Bagrati Cathedral
Our tour begins with Bagrati Cathedral, a masterpiece of medieval Georgian architecture built in the early 11th century by King Bagrati III. The cathedral symbolized the unity of Georgia during his reign.
In 1692, Ottoman troops invaded the Kingdom of Imereti and destroyed parts of the structure. Restoration efforts began in the 1950s and concluded in 2012, preserving the monument’s historical significance.
Prometheus Cave
Next, we visit Prometheus Cave, one of Georgia’s most impressive natural landmarks. Guided cave tours operate throughout the day, with departures every 15–20 minutes in high season (April–October) and every 40–50 minutes in low season.

After the cave, we continue to explore the abandoned Soviet sanatoriums of Tskaltubo.
Nikoladze Family Winery
In the afternoon, we visit the Nikoladze Family Winery. Here you will learn about traditional Georgian winemaking, observe historic tools and discover the qvevri fermentation method.
The experience concludes with a natural wine tasting, accompanied by stories about Georgian folklore and the cultural importance of the vine.
